A commitment to home, history and sustainability.
JAKO and VfB Stuttgart are bringing the history of VfB in a new look onto the pitch. The red chest ring on a white background is a little narrower in the 2021/22 season than in the previous season and the Mercedes star stands out above the upper edge of the chest ring. With this, the jersey picks up the style of historic VfB match outfits from the 80s and 90s.

The black accents above and below the chest ring are a commitment to VfB's home and history. They are visually extended by the pattern of the sleeve ends and are intended to refer to the banners of the Württemberg emblem from the early 19th century. What was written on the banderoles back then is echoed on the inside neck of the jersey: „furchtlos und treu“ – which means "fearless and loyal".

JAKO and VfB stand by their sustainable future just as confidently as they stand by their Württemberg identity. Following the green away jersey of the previous season, the new home jersey and all VfB jerseys to follow are also made of 100% recycled polyester.

Tobias Röschl, CMO at JAKO, says: "Together with VfB Stuttgart, we have developed a design that combines elements of tradition and modernity. The graphic details are based on the Württemberg emblem and illustrate our close connection to our home region. At the same time, by producing the jerseys from recycled material, we are once again setting an example for resource protection and sustainability."

VfB CEO Thomas Hitzlsperger says: "With its dynamic design, our new home jersey is a perfect match for our young and offensively oriented team. The first-class cooperation with Mercedes-Benz Bank and JAKO forms the basis for such high-quality and tradition-loaded jerseys. We are very much looking forward to the first match in our new outfits and hope that many fans can be there live in the Mercedes-Benz Arena."
