Starting point for the Rudi Sprügel Foundation: Named after the founder and chairman of the supervisory board of JAKO AG, the foundation primarily promotes projects in sports, especially soccer, and youth welfare.

This includes the promotion of sports exercises as well as offers of movement-oriented youth (social) work, the promotion of athletes and the implementation of sports-oriented events. Furthermore, the foundation supports the training and further education of exercise instructors and the establishment, construction, operation, and expansion of sports facilities. It also cooperates with educational institutions and youth social work facilities.

The foundation stone for the foundation was already laid in September 2022: At a ceremony marking the transition from one generation to the next within JAKO AG, the new Executive Board presented a donation check in the amount of €100,000 for the foundation's work.

"The promotion of sports, youth work and club life has always been very close to my heart. With the foundation, I have the opportunity to support targeted projects and give something back to the region in which I am rooted and grew up with JAKO. I would like to thank the board of JAKO AG and all the generous donors for their support and I am very pleased to be able to contribute to the promotion of sports in the region with the foundation in the future," says Rudi Sprügel.

The foundation's board of directors consists of Rudi Sprügel (1st chairman), Nadine Sprügel (1st deputy chairwoman) and Elmar Zürn.
