We are a family business.
Founded and managed to this day by our CEO Rudi Spruegel. Everything he has learned on the pitch, characterizes our corporate culture: we are a team, we tackle, we find solutions and we are reliable.

This is the way we live JAKO.

RUDI SPRUEGEL

Founder and Chairman

The right idea at the right moment, courage and assertiveness. Qualities of a business that Rudi had learnt on the football pitch. As a secondary league player at the Würzburger Kickers and a salesman in sports retail, he discovered a gap in the market in 1989. The vision to ideally equip all clubs in the region of the rivers Jagst and Kocher was born. The rest is now history. Rudi is very familiar with all his colleagues and calls them by their first name.

MARKUS FRANK

Chief Financial Officer / IT / Logistics

No figure is too complicated for him. This applies for numbers, data and various gymnastics equipment. Markus has studied mathematics, is a former competitive gymnast and is very committed vice president of the Swabian Gymnastic Association. After having worked for a textile manufacturer and a group in the construction industry, he came to JAKO in 2000. The first acquaintance with Rudi took not even 20 minutes- „A man, a word. It just felt right straight away.“
We know how important tactic is in sports. For this reason, we count on the best coaches and captains for our team. Our division managers plan for strategic teams, further development and competent team building as well as create best prerequisites on the JAKO playing field.
NADINE SPRUEGEL

Head of Purchasing

Just like her dad. Even as a young girl Nadine was fascinated by fabrics, colours and the right fit. So, it is no surprise, that the older one of the two Spruegel sisters spent a lot of time in the garage in Stachenhausen. Of course, it is obvious that after finishing her business administration studies and gaining work experiences in various countries, she is now responsible for the purchasing department.
YVONNE SPRUEGEL

Head of Finance

From an early age on she makes an impact on the company as a photo model. Until now Yvonne can be found in various catalogues of the 90ies and of course, she also diligently helped her father and sister Nadine in the garage. At that time, it was already clear who knew best how many boxes were available for shipping. Her predilection for numbers and analyses have been professionalized over the years. Today she is the manager of the finance department.
TOBIAS ROESCHL

Head of Sales

Actually, the Hollenbacher football club simply wanted a new goalkeeper for their team. Thus, Tobi introduced himself – to our company and the neighbouring sports field.  Fortunately, the business economist was a direct hit for both positions. Meanwhile he has ended his football career, however with his sales team he aims for even higher goals.
MATTIAS HOLZ

Head of Logistics

We guarantee a fast and reliable delivery. This means we need a logistics we can rely on 100 percent. Who is better suited as a manager than a passionate fireman?  Mattias Holz is not only the boss of our warehouses, but also for the past 30 years commander of the fire department in the neighbouring city of Krautheim.  It is no wonder that all our products are always available on demand.
ANDREA HAY

Assistant | Project Management

Is there any better place for the start of a career at JAKO than a sports club in the Hohenlohe area? Andrea met Rudi about 20 years ago on the sidelines of a football match of the TSV Hohebach. Our boss took the opportunity for a job interview with a studied business economist and hired her right there. All remaining paperwork was then officially done in Hollenbach before Andrea started her work life as the assistant to the CEO and a project manager.
We love sports. This passion we bring with us to JAKO. Just like on the sport field, we all work together. Short distances, fast solutions and a high flexibility are the qualities of all our 250 employees.
